Despite the cancellation of the festival, a fireworks show will go on.  The City of Loveland has teamed up with Symmes Township and Rozzi Famous Fireworks to hold two simultaneous, park and watch, fireworks shows on Saturday, July 4.  Loveland Mayor Kathy Bailey said she was disappointed that Loveland was not able to celebrate Independence Day with our traditional parade, concert, and other downtown festivities, but hoped the firework shows would bring a sense of pride to our communities.

“Symmes Township is so excited to partner with the City of Loveland to celebrate the 4th of July while keeping our community safe,” said Symmes Township Administrator, Kimberly Lapensee.

Fireworks will be set off at Boike Park and Symmes Park on Saturday, July 4.  Residents who live near the parks are asked to stay home to enjoy the show.  Others may watch from their cars, remaining socially distant, at Phillips Park, Loveland High School, Home of the Brave Park, church parking lots, and in surrounding subdivisions to watch the fireworks shows.

Additional information detailing locations to park and watch the fireworks safely will be issued once all times and locations are finalized.
