LHS Tigers boys soccer takes on Elder in OHSAA Southwest Ohio tournament play at Sycamore Junior High School tonight

LOVELAND, OH (October 26, 2020)  – The Loveland boys soccer team will take on the Elder Panthers tonight in an effort to advance to the next round of OHSAA postseason tournament play.

The Tigers have collected two wins in postseason play this fall. They defeated the Withrow Tigers 7-0 in opening round action last Monday. It wat their highest goal output of the 2020 season until they put 9 in the net in a 9-0 shutout win over Mt. Healthy at Tiger Stadium in Loveland last Thursday.

The two wins advanced them to the OHSAA D-I South semi-final match with Elder tonight. Loveland is 12-2-3 overall with a 6-1-1 league record that earned them a share of the ECC season championship with Turpin. This is the third straight ECC championship for the Loveland Boys Soccer Team.



Elder boys soccer carries a record of 4-8-3 into the match with Loveland tonight. Their record includes a 3-1 win over Lakota East in their lone postseason match so far. Loveland and Elder did not meet in the Fall 2020 regular soccer season.

The two teams will face off at midfield of the Sycamore Junior High School stadium at 7 p.m. tonight. The winner will advance to play the winner from the North D-I OHSAA Soccer Tournament Bracket on Thursday, October 29, at a site To Be Determined (TBD).

ECC teams in postseason action tonight – Monday, October 26, 2020:

Anderson v Oak Hills –      at Lakota East

Walnut Hills v St. Xavier- at Princeton H.S.

Milford v Sycamore –        at Kings High School

NOTE: All games start at 7 p.m. – Second team named is designated home.

Loveland Girls play Oak Hills Tuesday, October 27, at Kings High School. Game time is 7 p.m.
