LOVELAND, OH (December 7, 2023) – Each year, for one evening, Christmas comes to Loveland in a very special way transforming Historic Downtown Loveland into a wonderland of Christmas traditions both old and new.

Cee Cee Collins, LMRCA President & CEO and event coordinator Lacey Sullivan join Loveland Beacon Talks to share the story of Christmas in Loveland coming Saturday, December 16th – 4-8 p.m. They share a little bit of the history of this magical Christmas tradition in Loveland that has spanned some 25 years. Not only the history, but they share details of the activities and entertainment which is sure to fill your hearts with great cheer and bring the spirit of Christmas alive for all to share.

Trolley rides are a fun way to get around to see all the wonders of Christmas in Loveland (Provided)

In the tradition of the spirit of Christmas, this family fun event will allow kids of all ages to enjoy visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a Christmas spectacular show at the Loveland Stage Company (5,6 & 7 p.m.). The live nativity is back, live farm animals to see and maybe even pet. You can paint clay ornaments at Whistle Stop Clay Works. Everyone can ride and sing in a horse and carriage ride, go back in time at the Loveland Museum Center decorated in Victorian Christmas style with Rick Sellers at the keyboard with singers. Kiddies can take the train ride from 4-7 p.m. at the Museum Center. 

All through the town, there will be carolers, and entertainment on the main stage. Local businesses will have a variety of activities and holiday favorite treats like hot chocolate, hot cider and more. Take the family over to BF Realty and Bond Furniture where the kids can visit with Santa and do crafts. Not just the kids, but come earlier with your dogs for doggie photos with Santa at the Loveland Paddle Sports (Loveland Canoe & Kayak). There is so much more…you won’t want to miss it. EVERYTHING IS FREE to the Public.

Here is Event details from the Little Miami River Chamber Alliance:

  • Christmas in Loveland 4-8 PM, Saturday, December 16th in and around Historic Downtown Loveland
  • The train is at the Loveland Museum Center and a trolley will take guests from Downtown Loveland to the museum
  • Maps of all the activities will be placed inside the businesses and available by the clock tower.
  • Line for the Horse Drawn Carriages will be on Railroad Avenue-across from the Wicked Pickle Restaurant. Carriages will cost $2 per person.
  • A Holiday Trolley will transport people to the Loveland History Museum from Harrison Avenue at no charge.
  • Entertainment will be in the center of town and next to the fountain.
  • A shuttle bus will take folks from the Loveland Early Childhood Center at 6740 Loveland-Miamiville Rd. and drop off near the Fire Department at 100 E. Loveland Ave. The Shuttle will run the entire time.
