Test your Irish luck at the Library this St. Pat’s Day

NEWS RELEASE: Lisa Mauch,  Cincinnati Public Library

LOVELAND, OH (March 9, 2021) – Wtih COVID cancelling the parade and so many other in-person events, the Public Library of Cincinnati & Hamilton County has come up with a special fun way to celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day.

When you find the lucky shamrock sticker on a book, you’ve certainly found the Luck-o-the-Irish at your neighborhood library branch (Provided)

Want to find out if you have the luck o’ the Irish this St. Patrick’s Day? Then visit your local library branch and get ready to go on a shamrock hunt! You’re not looking outside though, but inside for the Cincinnati Library’s Lucky Day books.

Set aside on a special shelf or table, you can identify the Lucky Day books by the white and green shamrock on the side. Lucky Day books are very popular new titles that have several holds on them, except that these books are available for immediate checkout.

What’s the catch? You can’t put holds on these books. You have to be “lucky” enough to catch them out and available on a trip to your neighborhood branch. There also are Lucky Day DVDS available too.

Customers may only get two Lucky Day items at a time. Lucky Day books check out for three weeks and they get ONE courtesy renewal, so six weeks total. Lucky Day DVDs checkout for seven days with one courtesy renewal for two weeks total.

Nearby locations include: the Loveland Branch at 649 Loveland-Madeira Road, Loveland, OH 45140 or-

The Symmes Township Branch at 11850 Enyart Road, Loveland , OH 45140
