LOVELAND, OH (May 13, 2026) – It’s been almost a full month since Evagoras Papasavvas drove his first Formula Regional Americas Championship (FRA)race on his way to two podium finishes and his first FRA victory at NOLA in New Orleans in April.   

Evagoras gives us a preview of the FRA racing at Road America this weekend right here on Tracking Evagoras Papasavvas Racing – A Loveland Beacon Podcast Sports Special presentation.

This is a special weekend for the 18-year-old driver. If he wasn’t wearing a race driver’s racing suit in the seat of the #71 Formula Regional Americas race car, he’d be donning the Loveland High School cap-n-gown walking the stage at CINTAS CENTER in Cincinnati to receive his high school diploma. And, while he admits, he’ll miss that moment with his friends and classmates of 12 years, he’s happy to be pursuing his passion and career in the seat of a race car at Road America

“If I have to miss the graduation ceremonies,” said Papasavvas, “I’m glad I’ll be in the seat of a race car.”

His first race weekend (three races at NOLA Motorsports Park in Louisiana) was an impressive debut for Evagoras Papasavvas in the #71 Crosslink Motorsports car. His victory and additional podium result helped place him firmly in the running for a FRA driver championship season. He currently stands in second place overall just 13 points behind the leader as he heads into the three-race event on the Road America course in Wisconsin. Papasavvas is experienced on the course at Road America and considers it a favorite place to race and a great race course.
