Loveland High School students will perform a concert with Kittel & Co. Monday, October 7, at 7 p.m. in the high school.

Kittel & Co is a bluegrass/celtic/folk trio occupying a special niche between classical and acoustic roots. Jeremy Kittle is the featured artist. The Brooklyn-based violin artist was formerly with the Grammy award-winning band Turtle Island Quartet. He has worked as a composer, arranger, and collaborator with a diverse group of artists including Yo-Yo Ma, the Silk Road Ensemble and others.

“Jeremy Kittel is an incredible violinist, fiddler,” said Rachel Bierkan, LHS orchestra director. “He’s going to teach my students some improvisation and fiddling techniques.”

The band will be working with the LHS Orchestra students during the day. The students will perform two songs with the band during the evening concert. Kittel & Co. also features Quinn Bachand (guitar) and Josh Pinkham (mandolin). Together, they create an eclectic style of music – a fusion of folk, bluegrass and jazz.

Tickets to the concert are $10.50 and available online.
