Time to meet your Loveland candidates

LOVELAND, OH (October 13, 2023) – Absentee voting, voting by mail and in-person early voting in Ohio opened on Wednesday, October 11th. So yes, it is time to meet your local Loveland candidates.
The Loveland School Board has two seats open with Dr. Kathryn Lorenz retiring as her term expires 12/31/2023 along with the same date expiration of the term of Kevin Dougherty (retired earlier this year) being filled by appointee Linda Cecil. There are four candidates running.
The candidates are: Lynn Mangan, Christina Jeranek, Robert Vanover and Linda Cecil. All are seeking election to the board for the first time. (NOTE: As a current appointed member filling out a term, Linda Cecil would be a first-time elected.)
Loveland City Council meets at City Hall (Chuck Gibson) File
Loveland City Council has three seats open with terms expiring December 4, 2023 for Kathy Bailey, Andy Bateman and Kent Blair. There are four candidates seeking to fill the three seats with Kent Blair not seeking re- election.
Those candidates include current Mayor Kathy Bailey and current Councilmember Andy Bateman seeking re-election along with newcomers Brian Goodyear and Deidre Hazelbaker.
Thanks to the Little Miami River Chamber Alliance, you will have the opportunity to meet each of the candidates during a “Candidate Forum” to be held Tuesday and Wednesday, October 18 & 19 at 7 p.m. in the Loveland Middle School Cafeteria.
