Five students advance to
national competition in New York City

INDIAN HILL, OH (February 11, 2022) – The Indian Hill School District proudly celebrates the 11 student-artists who earned 17 awards at the annual Regional Scholastic Art Competition.

Indian Hill celebrates all 11 student-artists who earned recognition in the Regional Scholastic Art Competition; students Sarah Bridge, Michelle Fu, Gavin Johnson, Harry Warfel, and Brandon Yang earned the Gold Key and will advance to the national competition in New York City. (Provided)
Collectively, the students earned five Gold Key Awards, four Silver Key Awards, and eight Honorable Mentions. Students earning Gold Key awards now advance to New York City for judging in the Scholastic Art Awards National Competition, including: Sarah Bridge, Michelle Fu, Gavin Johnson, Harry Warfel, and Brandon Yang.
Each year, high school and middle school student-artists submit nearly 7,000 works of art to be juried during the regional competition, and approximately 1,400 are selected for a show at The Art Academy of Cincinnati.
In addition to the students who earned Gold Key awards, three students earned Silver Key awards, including: Grace Wang (two awards), Harry Warfel, and Grace Zhou. Seven students earned Honorable Mention awards, including: Lauren Campbell, Paige Falter, Michelle Fu (two awards), Molly Jutze, Grace Wang, Vivian Xu, and Brandon Yang.
