Hardek scored in the top 20 percent in the regional competition to earn the opportunity to compete against the top writers in Ohio.
“This is an exceptional accomplishment by an extremely talented and hard-working student,” said Indian Hill Middle School Principal Jennifer Ulland. “We are thrilled Mallory has advanced to such an elite level, and we know she will represent our Braves well!”
Hardek competes in the Power of the Pen State Competition May 12-13 at Otterbein University.
“Mallory’s creativity and well-developed stories have wowed the judges in district and regional competitions, and we are incredibly excited to cheer her on at state!” said Indian Hill Middle School teacher Kate Moster who mentors Power of the Pen students. “Power of the Pen allows students to express their creativity and push their writing to the next level. These young authors are continuing to grow in their craft in a fun and competitive way!”
