Tiger athletes & coaches tops in ECC fall sports honors

LOVELAND, OH (November 3, 2020) – It was a long journey from “will there even be a season?” to Eastern Cincinnati Conference Champions and Player of the Year and Coach of the Year honors for the Loveland Tigers fall sports teams.
Let’s start with a huge congratulations to all the Loveland High School fall sports athletes, coaches, athletic program administrators for their efforts and successes on the field and in the classrooms during this difficult pandemic season.

Here is a look at LHS Tigers honored for fall 2020:
On the links, the Loveland boys golf team earned the title of ECC champions.
Tyler Vallee earned conference Player of the Year
David Allan received Coach of the Year honors.

LHS Varsity Tennis Team 2020 (Chuck Gibson)
On the tennis court, the Loveland girls tennis team earned the 2020 ECC championship for the second consecutive year with a 6-2 season record and the ECC Tournament Championship.
Tess Broermann and Hannah Wenger were league champions at first doubles Jenna Batsch and Babs Dwyer won in second doubles.
Grace Haught was champion at second singles.
On the volleyball court, Diana Clark was honored for her play with the Loveland girls volleyball team
Diana Clark – 1st Team All ECC and 2nd Team All District
On the soccer field, the Loveland boys soccer team claimed a share of the ECC conference title – their third consecutive conference championship. The Tigers also advanced to District Championship game and finished as District Runner-up.

More from the soccer field, the Loveland girls soccer team earned their 6th conference championship in the last 9 seasons with an undefeated 7-0-1 record in ECC play. The Lady Tigers earned a #2 seed for postseason tournament action advancing to the District semi-final where they suffered their only defeat of the season 1-0 to Oak Hills
Lauren Donovan earned ECC Player of the Year
Todd Kelly received ECC Coach of the Year honors.

The run continues for Loveland Cross Country at State Championships this weekend:
The boys XC team earned the right to compete at the State Championship for the first time in 49 years.
For the girls, Emmy Sager earned a spot in the State Championship as an individual qualifier.
