FUN WITH MAPS ISSUE 2026-004
By Steve Kovacs (Introduction by Chuck Gibson)
LOVELAND, OH (January 15, 2026) – This issue of Fun with Maps simply takes us on a tour back in time through the lens of a museum.
British Museum
This museum holds eight million items on continuous display, making it the largest museum in the world.
Most on display are courtesy of the British Empire “obtaining” items along the way.
It opened its doors on January 15, 1759.
Items from India and Egypt dominate the displays.
This pictorial map of London is by MacDonald-Gill from 1928.
