LOVELAND, OH (August 12, 2022) – Today the Tiger Nation of Loveland, Ohio received a “Back To School”reminder in Tiger Talk from Loveland School Superintendent Mike Broadwater.

LCSD Superintendent Mike Broadwater (Provided)
In the “Superintendents Message” in today’s edition of the Loveland City School District (LCSD) Newsletter Tiger Talk, the Tiger families were reminded Monday, August 15, marks the first day back to school for students with last names A-L and Tuesday, August 16, is the first day back for students whose last names begin with M-Z. Everyone, teachers, students and staff will come together Wednesday, August 17, for their first full day together. In his message, Broadwater shared the excitement of the coming of a new school year along with important information for all the “Tiger Families”.
That includes the school hours.
Here is the full text of today’s Tiger Talk:
Loveland Tiger Families,
It’s almost time to start the year! We’re excited to have students back in the building beginning Monday. A reminder that we will have a staggered start to the school year as follows:
-
-
Students with last names A-L: Monday, August 15.
-
Students with last names M-Z: Tuesday, August 16
-
Everyone Wednesday, August 17
-
This is a great way for us to ease into the start of the year. This gives teachers a chance to have more one-on-one time with students, get technology set up, and work through any problems with smaller groups.
We’re making some changes this year to improve our communications. Tiger Talk newsletters come out from each building, and from the district. This is our way to share news and information with you on a weekly basis. You’ll continue to receive the building-level Tiger Talk newsletters on Friday afternoon. Starting this year, the district Tiger Talk newsletter will show up in your email on Sunday evening.
Additionally, each newsletter will be posted on our website at www.lovelandschools.org, under the “For Parents” tab. If you miss something, you’ll be able to check out the most recent Tiger Talks and get caught up.
I hope all our students, families, and staff had a great relaxing summer and are ready to get back into the classroom and have a great year.
If you have questions, feel free to reach out to me: broadwmi@lovelandschools.org.

Important Information About School Meals
The pandemic universal free lunch program has come to an end. That means this year students will be required to pay for lunch or breakfast. Funds can be added to your student’s account through PaySchools Central by following this link.
Students will pay with their student ID number at the checkout. We encourage families to fill out the application for free and reduced lunch through Payschools Central at the link above. In addition to free or reduced-price meals, qualifying may also lead to having student fees waived. Our lunch menu system has been updated to provide families with more nutrition and allergen information too. You can find the school lunch menus by following this link.
