Christmas in Loveland made spirits bright all through the night in Historic Loveland Saturday, December 14,

It truly was the most wonderful time of the year in Loveland Saturday, December 14, as thousands of visitors packed the streets to celebrate the annual Christmas in Loveland festivities.

Loveland Stage Company Theater was filled for all three of their “Old Fashioned Christmas” shows at 5, 6, and 7 p.m. A long and steady line formed on the decorated city sidewalk leading to City Hall and the City of Loveland “Whoville” display. Mayor Kathy Bailey was in full character as the Mayor of Whoville greeting all the girls and boys as they entered. The Whoville hallway visitors were filled with anticipation as they waited to see The Grinch!

It looked a lot like Christmas all over town with the live Nativity, and song and dance entertainment on the main stage in the heart of Historic Loveland by the Scenic Little Miami River Trail. The horsedrawn carriage echoed Christmas Carols from riders as it pased through the streets. Santa and Mrs. Claus joined the children for photos and toy making at Capps Photograpy. Next door ornament decorating and a caricature artist entertained the kids visiting Forever Grace Designs. Christmas carols could be heard while visitors strolled through the Victorian Christmas displays at the Loveland Museum Center. The kids enjoyed the train ride while adults enjoyed a variety of Christmas cookies and punch.

People packed the local restaurants to enjoy special treats like the bread pudding at Tano’s and a special mix at Paxton’s, not to mention Ramsey’s Trailside or the Polar Express on the train car at The Works. Fun and a warm fire outside Narrow Path Brewing for that restful moment and maybe a hot cocoa too. Visitors simply filled the streets, shops, theater, trolley and carriage throughout the evening. The weather was just right for a Holly Jolly Christmas this year. Merry Christmas to all, and for all, it was a very good night.
