City of Brotherly Love.

William Penn founded Philadelphia in 1682 on this day to serve as the capital of the Pennsylvania Colony.

The city has seen a lot since then.  The Declaration of Independence was signed here in 1776 as was the Constitution in 1787.  Philadelphia also served as the US capital while Washington D.C. was under construction.   Philadelphia also boasts the US’s first library, hospital, and medical school.

And more recently, Philadelphia was home to the fictional Rocky Balboa. Have you visited this city?
