Loveland race driver prepares for INDY NXT Grand Prix at Road America

LOVELAND, OH (June 17, 2025) – Evagoras Papasavvas offers analysis and driver insights to the INDY NXT 2025 racing season as he prepares to get back in the driver’s seat for the INDY NXT Grand Prix at Road America in Wisconsin this weekend.  

Papasavvas takes on the role of race analyst taking us back over the last two INDY NXT races (on the Streets of Detroit and on the oval in St. Louis) in this 2025 Episode #4 of Tracking Evagoras Papasavvas Racing – A podcast on Loveland Beacon.

Evagoras shares his experience on the oval in Iowa during a recent INDY NXT test session there. He offers his insights from traveling with and supporting his HMD Motorsports teammates while he was trackside at the most recent races in Detroit and in St. Louis. While he was not behind the wheel, he was continuing to “soak up” valuable knowledge as he continues his rookie season with INDY NXT. Despite racing only a partial season  (3 races including a P2 podium finish in his inaugural INDY NXT race earlier) Papasavvas landed himself quickly in the Top 10 for driver standings. 

Inactive as a driver the last two INDY NXT race weekends, he is currently positioned at #20 in the overall driver standings. Next up is the very familiar Road America course in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin (June 20-22) followed by the 4th of of July racing weekend at what is essentially his home race course – the Mid-Ohio race course – for the Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio Sunday, July 6th.

Evagoras has taken the checkered flag earning a P1 victory in each of his last two race weekends at the familiar track for the Ohio resident. Those were earned while racing in the USF-2000 series during 2023 and 2024. Earlier this season, Papasavvas opened eyes of the HMD Motorsports Team as well as the rest of the INDY NXT racing field with a strong performance during testing at Mid-Ohio in early May. The great showing earned him a seat for his first INDY NXT start at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama where he earned a P2 podium finish in his first ever INDY NXT race. This July 4-6 Mid-Ohio Grand Prix will be his first INDY NXT race on a course he calls a favorite. You better believe he’s looking to do more than learn, Papasavvas will be looking for another podium and even an INDY NXT victory.
