‘Continue Your Story’ Ohio License Plate now available

Ben Morrison Fund created Special Interest Ohio license plate to advocate and support their mental health mission

LOVELAND, OH (July 10, 2025) – It took more than two years and the support of Ohio State Representative Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland) with a petition to Ohio’s General Assembly, but Loveland-based Ben Morrison Fund has received approval and launched the “Continue Your Story” specialty interest organization Ohio license plate option to support mental health awareness and encourage all to “continue their story.”

Here is text from a Ben Morrison Fund release earlier this week. (Editor’s NOTE: The following text was edited for publication here on Loveland Beacon):

In 2023, just over a year after the Ben Morrison Fund was founded following the loss of her son Ben to suicide in 2021, Tori Morrison kept asking herself how she could reach more people to make sure any escalating mental health problem didn’t become a crisis or loss to suicide. 

“I was just thinking, if you were someone sitting in your car, going through an inner fight for your life, what if you looked out the window and saw the words, “continue your story” on the car in front of you.  Maybe you would feel less alone, like you have allies in the world that understand and want you to keep going?  What if that could save even one life?  I knew it was worth it for me to pursue.”  – Tori Morrison, Mother of Ben Morrison and founder of the Ben Morrison Fund

Tori and her family, friends and Board members set out to get the necessary number of petition signatures – collected more than 175 signatures – create the design and artwork and start the process of working with local government for approval of a “personalized specialty license plate” option for Ohio drivers.

The “Continue Your Story” Specialty Interest Organization license plate, is available to any Ohio driver as a “personalization/logo” through the Ohio BMV or oplates.com with an additional cost of just $25 – one of the lowest specialty plate rates available.  From every “Continue Your Story” plate purchased, $10 goes directly to the Ben Morrison Fund in their passionate , mission to help others through mental health awareness, with a clear message of hope and help!

Some facts about WHY the Ben Morrison Fund made this happen:

• We want everyone to “continue your story”. 
• We want to remind those in crisis: there is more to their story and there is help for them to get there. 
• We want to encourage community support of a global problem. 
• We want to spark conversation and awareness, and maybe even encourage someone to continue their story – from a simple car bumper, and we want to raise funds for our continued efforts to speak out, spread hope and offer help.
