Boys XC claims 7th at State Championship, Ryan Chevalier in top ten, Emmy Sager finishes in top 30 individual girls

LOVELAND, OH (November 8, 2020) – The Loveland High School Cross Country State qualifiers received a great send-off Friday morning with a Loveland Police Department escort through Loveland and past cheering school children wishing them well as they headed off to compete in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) State Championship XC meet.

The Loveland Boys XC team qualified for the team championship for the first time in 49 years. They finished 7th overall as a team. Ryan Chevalier was the top Tiger finisher for the boys placing 9th (out of 177 runners) with a 5K time of 15:52.0 in the boy 5K race Saturday.

The Loveland Girls XC team did not qualify for the team championship, but were represented by Emmy Sager who qualified for the individual girls championship. Emmy finished out her fall XC season with a time of 19:14.1 in the girls individual 5K race Saturday. Her time placed her in the top 30 at 29th out of 176 runners.
