Bryan Fetzer takes the CHCA Athletics reigns

CINCINNATI, OH (June 30, 2021) – Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (CHCA) has named Bryan Fetzer the new Executive Director of Athletics, effective Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Fetzer brings unparalleled experience to this role. His impressive record of directing high caliber collegiate athletic programs to win championships, drive growth, and achieve success, along with his strong desire to impact students and coaches in a Christian environment, make him a perfect fit for CHCA.
“I’m excited to tackle the challenges of leading and building on the current successes of the Athletic Department at CHCA.,” said Fetzer. “It’s our responsibility to be incredible ambassadors for CHCA and Christ. We will be committed to excellence in every aspect: from facilities enhancements and assisting in coaches’ education and development, to implementing a comprehensive sport development program, and raising the awareness of CHCA in the city, state, and nation.”
A search committee comprised of Board members, administration, coaches, and parents executed an urgent yet extremely thorough search for the school’s new Executive Director of Athletics. They found strong interest from a robust candidate pool, which enabled them to act quickly and with great confidence.
“Bryan Fetzer has coached and led athletic programs at the highest levels and he has brought out the excellence in his athletes and developed higher levels of excellence and success in his programs,” said CHCA’s incoming Head of School Dr. Dean Nicholas . “He is a strong leader with a large vision of what athletics could be in an independent Christian school like CHCA. And his deep faith and belief in our mission makes him the perfect person to take us to the next level of CHCA Athletics.”
A comprehensive restructuring of CHCA’s Athletic Department was recently completed. One critical output of this work was identifying the need for an Executive Director who will oversee the program more holistically, focusing on carrying forth CHCA’s culture of athletic excellence and integrity, while elevating the exposure of athletics at CHCA and advancing the school’s mission.
Fetzer’s twenty-five years of experience with all components of education, sports, and leadership at the NCAA’s highest level of academic institutions (Harvard, Virginia, California-Berkeley) and professional organizations provide an outstanding foundation for this new role. His unique style of leadership has fueled athletes to become National Champions, All- Americans, and Olympians, and has elevated programs to be some of the top in the nation.
Fetzer says creating an environment that fosters excellence with everyone understanding their responsibility, then taking accountability for it, is critical in his success as a leader.

Fetzer added he feels very blessed for the opportunity to come home (he is a graduate of Lakota High School) and be closer to family.
