Charity event will benefit
Chapelwood Apartment fire families

LOVELAND, OH (November 23, 2021) – The Loveland Legacy Foundation’s 3rd Annual Biggest Tailgate Party fundraiser takes place this Saturday, November 27, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at Ramsey’s Trailside and Paxton’s Grill.
The Big Game features #2 ranked The Ohio State University Buckeyes visiting #6 ranked University of Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor. It is historically and arguably “The Game” in college football annually. After all, the two teams have met on the gridiron 115 times before taking the field at the Big House this Saturday, November 27.For the record, Michigan leads the series 58-51-6, but has been beaten by Ohio State 16 of the last 18 games played between the two rivals since 2001 when the record was 56-35-6.
Clearly, the Buckeye’s turned the tables and closed the gap considerably. “The Game” between the Buckeye’s and Wolverines was cancelled one year ago as a result of the impact of COVID-19 on the 2020 college football season.
If the game is not enough for you to join in the 3rd Annual Biggest Tailgate Party organized by the Loveland Legacy Foundation (LLF), then come out to enjoy community with friends. There will be a football pool with payouts for each quarter and the final score. Obviously, the game will be on the big screens – yes, multiple screens. The bar is open and the full menu of food and drink will be available at both Paxton’s Grill and Ramsey’s Trailside.
“We decided the victims of the Chapelwood Apartment fire would be the benefactors of the proceeds,” said Max. “I know a lot of people have come out in different ways to support them. This is just one other way that we’re providing the community an opportunity to help support those families in need who have been displaced by that fire.”
In the first two Biggest Tailgate Party events organized by LLF, the proceeds were earmarked to benefit an organization called “Wheels” which rehabs donated vehicles and then provides those vehicles for individuals or families in need of reliable transportation.
“For people who have fallen on hard times, one of the biggest issues they have is transportation,” Max explained. “We’ve selected them the last two years. We are earmarking some of our year-end dollars to provide them, but the more immediate need is the here and now of getting help to those (Chapelwood Apartment” families.”
Come on out to the Biggest Tailgate Party this Saturday, root for your team whether it’s the Buckeye’s or the Wolverines, and enjoy the game while you help support local families in need – especially during Thanksgiving and throughout the Holiday Season. Reserve your individual seat for $25 or reserve tailgate table for four for $100. Buy a square in the football payout pool. Enjoy food and drinks while watching “The Game”. This one will decide the BIG 10 East Division winner with both teams entering the game with identical 10-1 records overall, but the Buckeyes remain undefeated in BIG 10 action while the Wolverines have one BIG 10 loss. The game holds a lot of promise including the potential of a place in the College Football Playoffs.
“The tailgate will be going on between Ramsey’s and Paxton’s,” said Max. “We’re very grateful for both of them stepping up and allowing us to host at those two locations. It’s really about people coming out to watch the game with friends, make new friends. It doesn’t matter Buckeye or Wolverine, we’re all friends, we’re all in this community together and it’s just a great way to show support of the community and have a little fun along the way.”
