The largest group of Loveland Frogman race competitors ever came out to canoe, ride and run the 2019 Loveland Frogman Race on a beautiful Saturday, September 14.
More than 228 individuals registered and raced the 5-mile canoe, 8-mile bicycle and 5K run along the Scenic Little Miami River Trail. The event challenged competitors to compete on land and in the water completing a five mile paddle on the Scenic Little Miami River, taking to the land pedaling an eight mile course on bicycle and completing the mini-triathlon style event with a 5K run on the Scenic Little Miami Trail.
The Loveland Frogman is organized by the Little Miami River Chamber Alliance with the help of numerous volunteers and sponsors. All registered participants splashed and dashed their way to the finish line successfully. At the finish, racers enjoyed the Kroger-sponsored after party refreshments of bananas, water and granola bars. The Little Miami River Chamber expressed thanks to sponsors: Athletico, Bush Re Shea, Loveland Chiropractic, Wards Corner Chiropractic, Miami Township, Loveland Bike Rental, Montgomery Cyclery, and Jack Rabbit.
“We especially appreciate the partnership with Loveland Canoe & Kayak,” said Cee Cee Collins, President, Little Miami River Chamber Alliance. “We love having this event to highlight the beautiful natural landscaping both the City of Loveland and Miami Township offer.”
