While it’s hard to believe it’s Christmas, especially with so much going on in the world, it is, nevertheless time to celebrate the birth of Christ.

This year as we all journey to gather around tables with family and friends let us hold in prayer the many whose lives were changed this year because of violence, war, weather, illness and death to name a few. It’s so easy to take things for granted until they are taken away. Indeed, hold them in prayer.

As we celebrate Christmas, I share with you some words sent to me by a dear friend:

  • Every time a hand reaches out to help another… that is Christmas.
  • Every time someone puts conflict aside and strives for understanding…. that is Christmas.
  • Every time people forget their differences and realize their love for each other…. that is Christmas.

May this Christmas bring all of us closer to a spirit of caring and to a place of deep peace. Blessings to each of you and know I am holding each and every one of you in my own personal prayers.

Merry Christmas!

Fr. Larry
