Annual organization meeting to establish 2020 leadership and meeting calendar was held January 9,

FROM LOVELAND SCHOOLS – The Loveland Board of Education convened for its annual organizational meeting on January 9 to establish the 2020 leadership and meeting calendar.

Elected this past November to serve another term, Art Jarvis and Dr. Kathryn Lorenz were sworn in as members of the board. The board then appointed Dr. Lorenz to serve as president and Ned Portune as vice president for 2020. In addition, the board voted on the appointment of members to committees to advance the interests of the district, including policy, student experience, finance and facilities.

The board voted to hold regular monthly business meetings at 6:00 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise noted with an asterisk (*) in the schedule below. 

The meetings will be held in the Loveland Middle/Intermediate School Media Center on 757 South Lebanon Road. Additional meetings, or changes to the schedule, will be designated by the board for a time and place properly announced.

No regular business meeting is scheduled for the months of July and December.

The Board voted to conduct other regular meetings, primarily as work sessions, on the first Tuesday of each month unless otherwise noted (*) in the listing below. These meetings will also be held in the Loveland Middle/Intermediate School Media Center at 6:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • May 5, 2020
  • June 2, 2020    
  • September 1, 2020 
  • October 6, 2020 
  • November 5, 2020 (first Thursday)*
