CHCA students named National Merit Semifinalists, College Board recognized, and National Merit Commended

SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH (September 28, 2022) – The announcement of 7 CHCA seniors being recognized as National Merit Commended students adds to the previous list of students named as National Merit Semifinalists and College Board Recognized from the school.

CHCA’s Upper School Principal Heather Wilkowski announced the following seven students have been recognized as National Merit Commended: Adyson Anderson (of Symmes Twp), Reagan Butrum (of Loveland), Tara Chalasani (of Montgomery), Taylor Mitchell (of West Chester), Colin Papp (of Loveland), Abigail Rosenfeldt (of Mason), and Johnathan Russell (of West Chester). (NOTE: Students highlighted in bold are from the Loveland community.)

A certificate from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation will be presented to these students at CHCA’s Academic Awards Night in April 2023.
Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2023 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 scorers who entered the 2023 competition by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®).

These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation. Wilkowski was pleased to announce the naming of students recognized a National Merit Commended students.
“I am thrilled to announce these students as National Merit Commended Scholars,” said Wilkowski. “Their hard work and commitment to excellence exemplifies the very essence of CHCA. I look forward to the incredible things they will accomplish now and in the future.”
Below you can find the list of the current Cincinnati Hill Christian Academy seniors previously previously announced for their recognition by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation:
National Merit Semifinalists: Andrew Ghastine (of Symmes Twp), William Kuhlman (of Mason), Isaac Mills (of Loveland), Grace Pearson (of Mason), Benjamin Smith (of Mason), and Craig Stotz (of Mason).
Those receiving College Board National Recognition: William Castellanos (of Maineville), Payton Puryear (of West Chester), Bianca Rodriguez (of Liberty Twp), and Jaden Idris (of West Chester).
